Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have seen creativity used to express oppression and grief, create awareness, and inspire change on a global scale. It is being used as a tool to connect and engage people around the world to fight social injustices and systemic racism. We have also used creativity to navigate new challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic. We have become more creative in the way we work, how we communicate, where we connect with friends and family, how we educate our children, how we stay healthy, and how we keep businesses running.
2020 was a year that no one will ever forget! We wanted to spread some positivity in our neighborhood amongst all the anxiety, uncertainty, and sadness that was felt by all due to the Coronavirus. So I began “Create Outside the Lines”. We provided Crayola chalk, and asked friends and family to create chalk art, and in return we would donate to the World Central Kitchen in their names to support Covid-19 relief efforts. We donated $125/family totaling $1,250.
We will continue to use creativity to inspire change, promote progress and influence positivity! Enjoy the artwork and creativity by friends and family, near and far!
