VF Corporation is the global leader in apparel and footwear, outfitting consumers around the world with its diverse portfolio of iconic lifestyle brands, including Vans®, The North Face®, Timberland®, Dickies® and more. Ospina Creative serves as a creative consult to VF, supporting the Corporate Communications team and internal business practices, designing infographics and data visualization graphics; presentations for leadership conferences; quarterly earnings, investor days, and more; internal communications collateral and campaigns; magazine ads, email announcements, and any additional design support as needed.

Kontoor Brands is a global lifestyle apparel company, with a portfolio of some of the world's most iconic consumer brands: Wrangler® and Lee®. VF Venture Foundry is a new incubator backed by the power of VF. Its resources, capabilities and tools provide unique advantages to founders, entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurial-minded individuals to help build the future of active and sustainable living, and whose ideas meet broad-scale consumer needs, advance fast-growing technologies, and create new and innovative business models.

BREM FOUNDATION

The Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer (Brem) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives through the early detection of breast cancer. The organization’s unique approach to breast cancer prevention relies heavily on the support of private donors. Due in part to a lack of a clear brand identity, its severely low brand awareness hindered its ability to fundraise. The organization was in desperate need of a brand overhaul, beginning with a visual identity and tagline that could quickly communicate the organization’s legitimacy, energy, and clout to potential advocates and donors. Efforts toward this campaign helped achieve fundraising goals and spread awareness about the organization.

CONCEPTS + BRAINSTORMING

Inspired by the pink ribbon, the globally recognized symbol for breast cancer, our design used a ribbon-like letter “b” to both convey breast cancer and the foundation’s name. The new mark and tagline—“Detect Early. Save Lives.” —conveyed the key brand attributes in a way that was uniquely Brem. With the brand identity in place, we redesigned the organization’s website, communications materials, and updated applicable social channels to aid fundraising efforts.

Brem Foundations’s Re-Bra initiative

After a woman undergoes breast surgery, her pre-surgery bras no longer fit. Re-Bra’s mission is to give women, especially those who have undergone breast surgery, a way to transform their bras into vehicles for good. Re-Bra creates a mutually beneficial, yet anonymous, relationship between women who have undergone breast surgery and low-income women who cannot afford bras.

The Re-Bra logo was designed to support Brem’s initiative and give the program an identity, thus building awareness and requests for bra donations.  

 

WEBSITE DESIGN + DEVELOPMENT

The redesign of the Brem website was a critical platform in order for the organization to communicate its message and establish a new brand identity to potential advocates and donors. The website was created on a CMS that allows the organization to update and edit the content internally, and keep the facts and information, current. 


 

BEE BANU

We created the branding for this luxury eyelash spa, soon to be located in McLean, VA. “Banu” translates to Queen, Monarch, a title of respect like First Lady in Farsi, accompanied by the Bee, celebrating femininity, beauty and self-expression by anyone - Queen Bee. Through conversations with our client we learned more about BeeBanu’s meaning and their aesthetic vision, and we brainstormed ideas about how to visually create a symbol that reflects the definition in Farsi and also represents beauty and royalty. The golden bee was born. The brand materials were printed on thick, luxury stock paper, using spot varnishes and gold foil for the bee.

VF’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are comprised of associates who turn individual differences into insights and capabilities that fuel growth for the business. They enhance a culture of belonging by creating a safe space for learning and dialogue about underrepresented groups, and providing platforms to collect and share insights to support business imperatives. As each group is formed, we have created a logo that reflects their mission and gives them a visual brand that is used across corporate communications, and helps identify each group individually.
